Hemsworth Market

General information about Hemsworth market

Hemsworth market has 48 stalls and was taken over by Hemsworth Town Council on 25th October 2011. Whilst there has been a decline in the market service, Hemsworth Town Council is working hard to have a market which offers something for everyone.

Hemsworth market opening times

8.00am till 4.00pm Tuesdays, Fridays & Saturdays.
New goods are sold on each of these days with the addition of second hand goods being sold at the Saturday market.
The market only closes on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

How to become a market trader

Casual traders

The following rules explain how to become a casual trader at Hemsworth Market:
'Permanent' (licensed) traders have till 9am to occupy their stalls.  'Casual trader stalls' are then let on between 9am and 10am.
On busy days it is advised that casual traders park on the fringes of the market area as parking spaces can be limited.  Once allocated you may bring your vehicle closer to the loading/unloading areas.
Casual traders must report to the Market Office on site on the day they intend to stand (8.30 a.m. to 9.00 a.m.). A short registration form needs fulfilling prior to standing.
Vacant stalls, if any, are allocated at about 9.00 to 9.30 am, based on list position and goods sold.
